New Look - New Outlook

I'm sensitive.

I don't mean I'm a mushy, cry-at-the-drop-of-a-hat, don't-look-at-me-crossways-or-I-might-lose-it type of chick (although Hubby would definitely disagree). What I mean is that I'm truly affected by what I see, hear... you get the picture.

And what I've been seeing and hearing lately is that it ain't easy, this journey of ours.

I've been reading blogs. Lots of them.

And I have to say, I'm so moved by the stories of these women I don't know, will probably never meet, who are battling this thing called infertility. All the while, struggling to balance the joy we have for other women who are blessed enough to enter mommydom, with the angst we shoulder for not knowing if we'll even make it past the gate.

These women are amazing.

They inspire me.

They make me realize that I'm not alone in this.

So, because I'm so inspired, I decided it was time to change the blog, give it a new look, and a new perspective.

I'm still going to detail my journey towards mommydom, but I'm going to try to focus on the positive in all of it.

I'm meant to have sugarbabies. I know it. So I'm going to keep my head up and hopes high while I wait for the sugar rain to fall down around me.

Like Fine Wine

Well, it's back to the drawing board. Well, not really. We're going back to the original plan - wait one cycle then start on Clomid.

When our loss was first discovered, one of the things everybody said was at least you know you can get pregnant.

It's true. I mean, what woman hasn't wondered whether or not it was even possible to get pregnant? I had honestly always believed somewhere deep inside that it wouldn't happen for me naturally. Now that I know it can, I realize I have another issue to contend with ...

AGE.

That's right, people. I'm AMA which means I'm over 35 and the possibility of complications popping up increases.

Hubby and I want children. More than one. Tanti bambini as they say in Italy.

So I had to weigh the options - We could continue trying to conceive on our own and possibly get pregnant or we could start on Clomid and increase the chances.

And though I consider myself to be like a fine wine that just gets better with age, I decided that I need as much help as possible to make being a mommy a reality sooner rather than later. So Clomid it is.

Wish me luck!
